Dropped $60 on one of those meal kit boxes and it fed me for 3 days, never again
Signed up for one of those meal kit deals back in March because the first box was "only" $60 for 3 dinners. Every recipe wanted some random spice or oil I didn't own, so I ended up dropping another $25 at the grocery store just to cook the stuff. Portions were tiny too, I ate one "serving" and was still hungry so I made a PB&J after. For $85 I could have hit the Aldi on 5th and eaten like a king for a week. Anyone else get suckered into these or am I just bad at math?
Was the "chef" who designed those recipes getting a cut from the spice aisle? I swear every single one calls for like a quarter teaspoon of some fancy smoked paprika that costs $9 and then you never touch the jar again. And the portions, come on, who eats half a zucchini and calls it dinner? I made one of those tiny chicken things, looked at my plate, and laughed out loud. You're not bad at math, the math was just designed to trick you.
