Can we talk about my $3 pot of lentils that fed me 4 nights when my card got declined at Kroger?
Stood in the checkout line in Columbus with $11 in my account and had to put the chicken back, so I grabbed a bag of dried lentils for $1.79 and a $1 onion and made a big pot with cumin and garlic that stretched four dinners plus lunch. What's your go-to meal when the wallet is empty and you still want something that actually tastes good?
That card decline at Kroger is the worst feeling, been there with like $6 to my name. Lentils and rice with a fried egg on top got me through a whole week once. Cumin and garlic makes anything taste like you planned it.
