My $47 grocery run in Boise turned into 4 nights of beans and I'm sick of the same pot
Three weeks ago I bought a 10 pound bag of dry pinto beans because it was 9 bucks and I thought I was being smart, but by night four I was eating them plain out of a mug standing over the sink at 11pm. I'm not a picky eater but I need some way to make pinto beans taste like something different by day three, so what do you all add to a big batch so it doesn't feel like punishment?
My buddy did the same thing with a 25 lb bag of rice and ate it with hot sauce for two weeks straight. Eventually he started throwing an egg and whatever leftover meat he had on top and called it a new meal each time. Kinda worked for him.
