Showerthought: my uncle swears canned veggies are a waste of money and I think he has it backwards
My uncle Rick was over for dinner last week and saw me dumping a 79 cent can of green beans into a pot and called it paying for water. But I did the math on a bag of fresh beans from Kroger, and by the time I trim and cook them down I'm out way more cash and half of it goes in the trash. Is there a fresh veg that actually saves you money over canned, or is that just something people say?
