Was about to toss a bag of sad carrots, then remembered my grandma's trick and turned them into soup for 3 days
Tossed the limp carrots in a pot with a $1 onion and some old chicken bouillon, blended it all up, and my roommate asked where I bought the fancy soup, so now I'm wondering what other 'garbage' veggies people are secretly saving?
My grandma used to do that with tomatoes that were about to go bad, just simmer them down with garlic and olive oil and suddenly it's "rustic sauce." Sweet potatoes too, the wrinkly ones make the best mash somehow. Never tried it with carrots though, might have to give that a shot.
