Hatch chiles vs. Anaheim - one tastes like grass

I used to buy Anaheim chiles for my green chili because they were cheaper. Finally grabbed a box of Hatch chiles from New Mexico last September from a guy selling them off a truck. The flavor difference was huge, I have not gone back since. Anybody else notice how much better Hatch is or is it just me?

Honestly I think people get way too worked up about soil. Dirt is dirt, water it and stuff grows.
