My new induction burner failed mid-service last Saturday...
I was in the middle of a 40-cover brunch service last weekend when my brand new induction burner just stopped heating. The display went dark and it started beeping with an error code I couldn't find in the manual. I had to quickly move all my pans over to the gas range and finish the eggs benedict there while the line backed up. Turns out the internal cooling fan was dead out of the box. Has anyone else had luck getting a warranty replacement on these things without waiting a month?

Respectfully, I see it different. Induction burners fail sometimes but so do gas ranges and convection ovens, its just part of running a kitchen. Warranty replacements usually come through faster if you call the manufacturer directly instead of going through the dealer, saved me a headache last year.

Honestly, that thing you said about calling the manufacturer directly instead of the dealer? Totally spot on. My friend had this nightmare with her induction cooktop last year, kept tripping the breaker after a few months. She went back and forth with the store for like two weeks, and they kept saying they'd "look into it." Finally, she got fed up and called the company herself, they sent a replacement part in like three days. The dealer had just been sitting on the paperwork the whole time. So yeah, you're not wrong, it's just all a headache either way, but at least that way you cut out the middleman.

Called the manufacturer myself last year when my dishwasher started leaking. Same story with the dealer, they wanted me to pay for a service call first to "diagnose" it. Called the company and they had me send a video of the leak. Two days later a replacement hose was at my door. Dealer would have had me waiting weeks and probably charged me for labor. You really have to cut them out sometimes to get anything done.
