Why does everyone keep buying pre-sharpened knives from the big box stores?

Bought a set from Target last month for $80 and the edge was gone after two days of prepping. A $30 knife from the restaurant supply and a $15 stone beats that every time-has anyone else stopped buying those flashy sets?

Oh man @aaron_mitchell you are so right about that! For me it was a cheap little screwdriver set that kept stripping screws until I finally shelled out for a decent one. That tiny upgrade saved me so much frustration and a whole lot of ruined projects.
