So you're telling me I've been attacking my patio stones like they owe me money when all they needed was a nice little soft brush and some compliments?

That old mason really knew what he was talking about. I was brushing my stones the same way for years, just scrubbing back and forth like crazy. Then I had a guy tell me to use a soft brush and go with the grain of the stone. It felt weird at first because I thought harder meant cleaner. But once I switched to a gentler touch and let the soap do the work, the stones actually looked way better and the color came back. Plus it saved me time because I wasnt scrubbing myself into a sweat every weekend.
