Funny how often the old guys turn out to be right about stuff we were sure was dumb. Seems like a pattern everywhere now, we get so quick to correct people before we even hear them out. Half the time the guy who's been doing a job for 40 years knows something the manual never printed. Swallowing your pride and buying that beer is the good move, most folks would just keep arguing. Bet you learn more from him over that beer than you did in the whole 20 minutes.
