Rant: Saw a handyman destroy a chimney in Springfield last Tuesday
Was doing a routine inspection on Maple Street in Springfield and watched this guy wire brush a clay flue liner like it was a cast iron skillet. Scraped off half the glazing in 10 minutes, then tried to pass it off as a clean sweep to the homeowner. That liner is shot now, 40 year old tile ruined. How do you handle showing homeowners someone else's hack work without making them think you're just trying to upsell a reline?
