That customer who wanted me to sweep their chimney in a tuxedo
I showed up to a job last Tuesday in Portland and the homeowner handed me a tuxedo jacket. Said he was having a formal dinner party that night and wanted the chimney sweep to look classy. I just stood there holding it for a minute, then asked if he was joking. He was dead serious, so I took a picture of him holding the jacket instead and told him I'd wear it for an extra $200. He actually paid it, and I swept the whole thing in that stupid jacket with soot all over the cuffs. Has anyone else had a customer request something completely bizarre like that?

So wait, the guy actually handed you a tuxedo jacket right when you showed up? That's wild, I don't think I could keep a straight face if someone pulled that on me. $200 is fair compensation for looking ridiculous in front of a dinner party though, you earned that one.
