Tried a new creosote remover log, got a nasty surprise on the next sweep
Picked up one of those Chimney Sweep brand logs from the depot in Tacoma last month, figured it was worth a shot for a rental property I service. Swapped the client's old flexible liner and noticed the ceramic coating was peeling inside the cap, looked like the thing had torched hot spots I never saw before. Maybe it's fine for light use, but I'm sticking to powder treatments and a proper scraper on the next 4 jobs. Anyone else see liner damage after using those additive logs?
