Hit 12 months in Chicago and somehow have 9 boxes I never unpacked
Moved here last June for a job that ended up being remote anyway. Twelve months in, and I just counted the boxes in my closet. Nine of them are still sealed from the move. I told myself I'd unpack once I found a decent coffee shop or made a friend or whatever. Neither happened. The weird part is I don't even miss what's in those boxes. Has anyone else hit a milestone like that and realized you brought way too much stuff for a life you don't actually have here?
Oh man, nine sealed boxes is basically a museum exhibit of your past life at this point. I bet half of them are just stuff you bought on sale that you convinced yourself you needed later, right? Honestly, you could probably just leave them for the next tenant and call it a gift.
