Dug a Nokia 3310 out of a drawer last week and it still had battery life from 2004

I tried charging it up to see if my old Snake scores were still there and the thing booted right up like nothing happened. What’s the oldest gadget you’ve found that still just worked without any fuss?

Wait, 19 years? That's insane. I can't believe a battery from 2004 still held a charge after all that time. My phone dies after two days of just sitting there now, that's wild. Makes you wonder what happened to product quality. Nothing I own today feels like it could survive a decent drop let alone decades in a drawer. They really built those things like tanks. Bet your old high scores are still there too, taunting you. That's one of those gadgets that proves older technology had a kind of durability we just don't see anymore.

Guess you ever think about why we just accepted phones being disposable? You remember when a gadget lasted long enough to become a time capsule.

19 years and the high scores are still there" is absolutely killing me, I can't believe that thing just sat there waiting like a time capsule. That's wild how something from 2004 outlasts stuff we buy now.
