I used to keep my whole CD collection in a binder, now I got 2,000 songs on a thumb drive
Back in high school I had one of those 200 disc binders under my truck seat and I thought I was slick, but I lost a Pearl Jam disc to a scratch in 2001 and never forgave myself. Spent 3 hours in my buddy's garage ripping everything with Windows Media Player just so I could burn mixes for the drive to work. Now it's all on a 32 GB thumb drive plugged into my car stereo and I haven't touched a CD in maybe 12 years. Some part of me misses flipping through the sleeves though, that little crack of the case is a sound I'll never hear again. My kid found the binder in the basement last month and asked if they were tiny records, so, how do you all store your old discs these days?
