My 1998 ThinkPad outlasted my 2015 laptop on a road trip to Boise
The old ThinkPad ran 9 hours on a spare battery and never once froze, while the newer machine died at the second rest stop, so now I want to know which vintage laptops you actually trust for travel.

Man, those old ThinkPads just refuse to quit. Grab a T420 or X220 if you want the same thing, they take a beating and you can swap batteries without tools. Just check the hinge and screen before you buy one, because parts get harder to find each year.
