Rant: I called my old Motorola flip phone a paperweight for 15 years, then the grid went down
I kept that beat up Motorola in a junk drawer since 2009 mostly as a joke, and I always rolled my eyes when guys online swore these old bricks were worth keeping. Then a storm knocked out power to my whole block for 3 days and my fancy smartphone died by the first night with no way to charge it. I dug out the flip phone, charged it off my truck's USB port for 20 minutes, and it held a signal when nothing else in the house did. I made 6 calls to my crew and family on that thing and the battery barely moved. Now I get why some of you hoard these things instead of tossing them. Does anyone know a good replacement battery for an old Razr, or am I better off just buying a second one off eBay?
