That neighbor with the IBM ThinkPad changed my mind about typing feel
I always thought mechanical keyboards were the only way to go until my neighbor in Chicago showed me his old ThinkPad T42 from 2004. He typed a full paragraph on it and the key travel was so smooth I immediately understood why people hunt those down on eBay. Anyone else find a vintage laptop keyboard that ruined modern ones for you?

Did you see that video where someone modded a T42 keyboard to work on a modern PC? I heard it's a whole thing in the ThinkPad collector community, folks swear by the feel even if the rest of the laptop is ancient.

Man those old ThinkPad keyboards really are something special. I get why people go through the trouble of modding them even when the original laptop is basically a relic. The feel of those 7-row keybords is just unbeatable for typing, nothing modern comes close.
