I chose a gas car over an electric one and I'm not sorry about it
My old car died and I had to pick between a new EV or a hybrid. I went with the hybrid because my apartment in Phoenix has no charging spots, and the nearest public one is a 15 minute drive. I know everyone says go full electric, but this was the only real choice for my life right now. Has anyone else felt pushed toward an option that just didn't fit their situation?

My uncle got a fancy EV as a company car, but he lives way out in the country. He has to plan his whole week around driving into town to use the charger at the grocery store. He says it turned a simple errand into a major chore. The tech is cool, but it just doesn't work for some setups.

Sounds like a problem with the company car policy, not the car.

Actually, the uncle's situation is a perfect case for a home charger. If he's got a house out in the country, he should be able to get a Level 2 charger installed in his garage or on a post. That way he'd wake up to a full battery every morning. The real problem is for people in apartments who can't install anything.

Man, that's totally fair. My buddy in an old Chicago walk-up tried to go full electric last year. He ended up having to run an extension cord out his third-floor window down to the curb, and the building manager shut that down real fast. He traded it in for a regular hybrid after two months of that circus.
