My electric bill dropped 40% after a simple switch

I swapped all my bulbs for LEDs and got a smart thermostat. Is it better to focus on small personal changes or push for big policy shifts to cut emissions?

That "small wins add up" point is good, but they also change how you see the problem. After I got an EV, I started noticing how bad public charging is in some areas. That personal hassle made me actually show up to a city council meeting about zoning for new stations. I never would have cared before. The small change didn't just save me money, it turned me into a guy who pushes for the bigger change.

Both are needed, but those small wins add up and build pressure for the big changes.

But what if the big changes never come?
