My uncle the farmer changed my mind about solar panels

I visited my uncle's farm in Nebraska over the weekend. He's been running it for 30 years and always said solar was a scam. But he showed me his new setup - 50 panels on an old barn roof that cut his electric bill by 60% in just 3 months. He told me the tax credits made the math work way faster than he expected. Has anyone else had a family member flip their opinion on renewable energy like that?

Yeah but tax credits are just kicking the can down the road for everyone else to pay.

@wade250 You're right, but sometimes it's the only way to get the panels on the roof in the first place.
