Showerthought: My old gas mower versus the electric one I got this spring

The electric one costs about 15 bucks a year to run, and the difference in noise and smell is huge. Anyone else make a switch that felt bigger than you expected?

Yeah, the power thing is a bit of a myth now. @reesej27, the newer brushless electric mowers have a ton of torque and don't bog down like the old ones did. My electric model plows through my overgrown patch just fine, and it's not even a super expensive one. The tech has gotten a lot better in the last few years.

Gas mowers have way more power for thick grass. Electric ones can struggle and bog down in tougher conditions. Sometimes the old way just works better.

My electric mower gave up halfway through, guess my lawn is just built different lol.
