Manual setup felt like it was designed to waste time on purpose. Glad those days are over.

Mary, your point about setup being made to waste time on purpose really hit home. I read a piece recently about how old tech had too many steps to seem impressive. The author pointed out that installation processes often included meaningless choices to give a false sense of control. It's crazy to think that was the norm, but I'm glad we're past it.

Speed really is the main thing with those new routines. It cuts down the boring setup time so you can actually get to the work that matters. That means less standing around waiting for things to calibrate and more getting stuff done. The old way always felt like it added an extra frustrating step to the whole day. Now if something goes wrong, resetting is quick and doesn't ruin your whole flow.

Totally reminds me of the old office printer that needed a full ten minute ritual to wake up. You had to press the secret button combo, listen for the specific hum, and pray to the tech gods. Now it just works when you tap your phone on it, which still feels like magic. All that saved time adds up over a week.
