DAE check their shop's power before starting a tricky job?

Last week, I lost a good part because of a voltage drop. The machine paused and left a mark on the final surface. I traced it back to an old breaker in my panel. Now I do a quick voltage check before each run. It saves me from wasting material and time.

My old shop in Toledo ran three CNC mills off a single 60 amp subpanel from the 70s. We never checked a thing and maybe had one hiccup a year. That mark on your part could have been from tool wear or a dozen other things. I get being careful, but turning a voltage check into a daily habit for every job seems like overkill for a simple breaker swap. Most of the time the power is just fine.

Old breaker in your panel? That thing's still kicking? Yikes.

Learn from my mistakes, I barely check my own oil.

Doubt it's that serious for most jobs. Sounds like you and Blake are both overdoing it.
