My coolant pump gave out halfway through a big aluminum run
It happened yesterday morning, and I had to finish the job with a spray bottle and a shop fan. Has anyone found a good replacement pump for a 2015 Haas VF2 that won't break the bank?

Halfway through a big aluminum run" is the worst feeling. I had a similar panic last year when my chip conveyor jammed solid on a long steel job. The sound went from a normal hum to a horrible grinding shriek. Spent two hours with a pry bar and a headlamp, pulling out a bird's nest of stringy chips while coolant pooled everywhere. It's amazing what we end up doing just to get a job out the door.

losing my mind" is a bit dramatic, don't you think? Two hours with a pry bar is just part of the job. You'd lose your mind if you had to stop production and wait for a service call that costs more than the job's worth. I'd rather be mad for two hours than explain to my boss why we're down for a day. That's the difference between being a hobbyist and being in the trade. You get paid to solve problems, not for everything to go smooth.
