People keep saying you need to run coolant at full blast for aluminum, but I've cut dry for 6 months with zero issues.

Dry cutting aluminum is just asking for trouble down the road. That heat has to go somewhere, and it's warping your parts or wrecking your tool life even if you don't see it yet. Coolant isn't just about the cut, it's about clearing chips so they don't get welded back onto the surface. Six months of luck doesn't beat years of proven shop practice.
