Serious question, I thought those cheap magnetic indicator holders were junk until I tried one.
My boss bought a bunch of the generic ones from a tool sale last month, and I figured they'd slip or be off angle. I used one on a Bridgeport retrofit for a small run of 50 parts, and it held zero perfectly through the whole job. What's a tool you guys wrote off that actually surprised you?

Ever try those cheap tap guides? Total game changer for hand tapping. Thought they'd be useless but they keep things straight. Saved me from breaking so many small taps.

Waste of money, just use a drill press.

@amy_craig28 would change their tune after snapping a few taps with a drill press.
