Showerthought: my probe snapped off inside a 4 inch bore and I spent 45 minutes fishing it out
Was running a batch of aluminum flanges on the Haas last Tuesday when the probe just bit it and the tip broke clean off in the hole. I ended up cutting a piece of welding rod with a little hook bent on the end to pull it out, but it took 45 minutes and I lost the whole setup. Has anyone got a better trick for grabbing a broken tip out of a blind bore, or am I just stuck doing the hook thing forever?
