Spent 2 days chasing a spindle speed offset that was one line of code
Last week I had a job running on our Haas VF-3 and every part came out with a rough finish. I checked tool wear, coolant, feeds, all the usual things. Changed inserts twice. Cleaned the holder. Still bad. Finally on the second day I looked at the program and saw someone had left a G50 line in from the previous setup that was capping the spindle at 800 rpm. The actual program called for 3500. One line. Two days of my life. Has anyone else burned that much time on something this dumb? What was your longest fight with a single line or setting?
