Switched from a vise stop to a cheap 1-2-3 block on repeat parts
I ran sixty of the same bracket on my mill in Spokane two weeks ago and got tired of resetting my vise stop, so I clamped a 1-2-3 block against the fixed jaw and slid parts up to it. My cycle time dropped by about nine seconds a part because I wasn't checking the stop screw after every few pieces. The bigger thing was scrap, I had four spoiled parts from the stop creeping on the old setup and zero after the block switch. Feels dumb that I fought the fancier way for so long. What do you all use as a hard stop when you're running a batch like that?
