The day our new Mazak went down and the boss blamed my program
It was a Tuesday morning and we were running a big order of 500 aluminum brackets. The machine just stopped halfway through part 47 with a servo overload alarm. The foreman came over, looked at the screen, and said 'Your feed rate is too aggressive, you're pushing it.' I knew my numbers were right because I ran the same program on the old Haas last month. Turns out, the new machine's coolant pump had a bad bearing and was drawing triple the amps. Ever have a boss assume it's your fault before checking the hardware?

Classic boss move, always blaming the code first.

Is it really that big a deal? Bosses jump to conclusions sometimes, but it usually gets sorted out. Not worth getting worked up over.
