A code review comment made me stop nesting everything 5 levels deep

Last month my mentor looked at my Python script and said 'your indentation is giving me anxiety'. I had like 6 nested if loops for a login form. He showed me how to flip it with early returns and helper functions. Now my functions stay under 15 lines each and I actually caught 3 bugs I was missing before. Anyone else get that one review comment that completely changed their style?
