Put $40 into a one month Codewars premium subscription and it finally clicked for me

I was bouncing between free tutorials for months and nothing stuck. That first week with the structured challenges forced me to actually write code instead of just watching videos. Anyone else find that paying a little cash made you take it more seriously?

Yeah, spending money on a gym membership finally got me to stop skipping workouts too.

Oh man, so you think paying money is what actually makes you go? How many times did you sign up before and just let the money go to waste? I gotta ask, did you notice a difference when the membership cost more versus when it was a cheaper gym?

Honestly, you say "finally got me to stop skipping workouts" like it was some huge life change. I mean, a gym membership is what, 30-40 bucks a month? That's not exactly breaking the bank for most people. Tbh, if you can't get yourself to go without a financial penalty hanging over your head, maybe the problem isn't the membership but the motivation. Ngl, it just sounds like a fancy excuse to spend money you could've saved on home workouts or just walking outside for free.
