Shoutout to the free Harvard CS50 course for showing me how many programmers start with zero experience
Honestly, I saw their stats that over 2 million people have taken it, and a huge chunk had never coded before. Has anyone else found a specific resource that really opened things up for you?

Ever try to learn from a YouTube tutorial that made you feel dumber than when you started?

Watched a makeup tutorial where the artist said "just buff it in" like fifty times. I'm sitting there with a brush, rubbing my cheek raw, and my foundation still looks like a patchy mess. Pretty sure I missed the secret step where you actually know what you're doing. Ended up looking more confused than when I had a bare face.

Tried to follow a tutorial for a simple Python script once. The guy was talking so fast and using terms he never explained. I spent an hour just trying to figure out what he meant by "instantiate," and my code still looked like a toddler typed it. Felt like I needed a degree just to understand the intro. What was your most confusing tutorial moment?

My worst was a 45 minute video on how to build a basic website. The guy never showed his full screen, just zoomed in on tiny bits of code. I had to pause every ten seconds to guess where he was even typing. By the end I had a bunch of disconnected snippets and no idea how they fit together. It felt like he was showing off his skills instead of actually teaching anything. The whole point of a tutorial is to see the whole process, not just the fancy parts.
