Showerthought: I used to get stuck on loops for hours until a friend in Phoenix told me to 'rubber duck' my code.

I'd explain my problem line by line to a rubber duck on my desk, and half the time I'd spot the bug before I even finished talking. Anyone else have a simple trick that saved them a ton of time?

You had a friend in Phoenix explain rubber duck debugging to you? I always thought that was just some weird internet thing nobody actually did. The idea of talking to a bath toy about my broken loops sounds ridiculous, but I guess it really works. I'm shocked you found someone in real life who does it too. Maybe I should try it instead of just staring at the screen until my eyes hurt.
