Spent 45 minutes debugging a missing semicolon in my JavaScript yesterday

I was staring at this function that kept throwing errors, and it turned out I forgot one semicolon in a loop. Has anyone else spent way too long hunting tiny typos like this?

42% of JavaScript errors are syntax related.

Honestly that 42% number hits way too close to home. It's like the moment you hit save you instantly spot the mistake and it's always something dumb like 'teh' instead of 'the'. Ngl I swear my brain just auto-fills the wrong letters sometimes. Tbh I've started reading my stuff backwards just to catch more of those tiny errors before they embarrass me later. It's a pain but less painful than seeing them live.
