Bought a $180 burr grinder because of this sub, my $25 blade grinder was doing the same job
Side by side with the same beans the taste difference was so small I had my wife do a blind test and she picked the cheap one 3 out of 4 times, so what actually made a difference for you guys, because I'm starting to think grind consistency is way overblown for drip.
And if you're mostly doing drip, the water sits in the grounds for a while anyway, so a few odd-sized bits get evened out by contact time. That's probably why your wife couldn't tell, burr grinders matter way more when you're pulling espresso and seconds change everything.
