Counted my coffee gear last night and hit 14 brewers, so is this a hobby or a problem?
I lined everything up on the kitchen counter in my apartment in Boise last night and counted 14 brewers. That is 14 ways to make one drink. It started with a drip pot, one French press, and a $25 pour over kit about 5 years ago. Now there is a moka pot, a siphon, a cold brew tower, and two things I cannot even name that I grabbed at a flea market. My wife walked in, looked at the counter, and asked if we were opening a cafe. Here is where I go back and forth. One side of me says every brewer makes a different cup, and I can taste it, the siphon is clean, the moka is thick, the press is heavy. The other side says I have spent maybe $900 total and I use the same $30 pour over 90% of the time. So is collecting brewers like this normal for you all, and at what count did you stop adding?
