Finally hit 200 pounds of beans roasted this year and it flipped my opinion on dark roasts

I always thought dark roasts were just burnt and bitter, but hitting that milestone made me realize I was probably just roasting them wrong before. Has anyone else found their tastes changing after a certain number of batches?

Haha yeah totally, that 200 batch mark really changes how you look at things.

that 200 batch mark really changes how you look at things" yeah no kidding lol. before i hit 200 i was still believing in clean builds and proper cable management. now i just shove everything in and hope it doesn't catch fire. funny how experience just makes you more reckless instead of smarter.

Honestly that's so real. The shift from caring about aesthetics to just praying it POSTs is a whole different level of building. Ngl we've all been there where you just zip tie the worst offender and call it a day.
