I finally got my pour over to taste right after six months of weak coffee

I kept using the same grind size from my old drip machine with my new V60, and my coffee was always sour and thin. It took me half a year to realize I needed a much finer grind and to really watch my water temperature, keeping it around 205 degrees. Has anyone else had a simple fix take way too long to figure out?

Oh man, I feel that. Took me ages to figure out my water was too hard.

It's wild how much it messes with soap and cleaning. My dishes always had spots until I got a softener.

Yeah @vera195, hard water is such a sneaky problem. I was shocked when I finally tested mine.
