I roasted my buddy over his hot water coffee and now things are weird
Recently at a friend's place, he decided to show off his new French press. He boiled water on the stove and poured it right over the grounds. I told him straight up that he was scorching the coffee and it would taste bitter. He got all offended and said his way was fine. The other guys just watched, not sure what to do. We tried his brew and yeah, it was burnt. Now every time coffee comes up, he gives me side eye. But hey, truth hurts sometimes when you're messing with good beans.

I once argued with a roommate over the proper way to load a dishwasher (turns out I'm the weird one). We all have our hills to die on, and apparently his is lava-hot coffee water.

Okay but seriously, what temperature WAS the water? Because boiling water straight from the kettle is a war crime against coffee. Did he even own a thermometer or just go by the steam?

My ex-roommate nearly ended our lease over toilet paper roll direction. Some people just have passionate disagreements over tiny domestic things.
