My old drip machine used to be my 5 a.m. alarm clock, now I grind beans by hand at sunrise.

The switch happened after I visited a tiny roaster in Asheville and they let me taste a pour-over they described as 'morning sunshine'. Anyone else find their whole routine changed by one amazing cup?

Reheating coffee is just a sad, slow goodbye.

Pour-overs are great, but they don't have to be a sunrise-only thing. I make mine the night before and just heat it up. It saves a ton of time in the morning rush.

Wait, you reheat pour-over? Doesn't that totally kill the flavor? I tried that once with my chemex and it tasted like bitter dishwater by noon. @smith.nancy you must have a magic microwave or something.

Yeah I used to be on your side. Thought reheating any coffee was criminal. But @smith.nancy is onto something. I tried it with my V60 last week. Stuck the mug in the microwave for 30 seconds. It was actually fine. Not as good as fresh but way better than making a full new batch at 3pm.
