The diner in Tulsa puts a pinch of salt in the grounds before brewing, and I can't decide if that's genius or a crime | Coffee Enthusiasts - Free To Speak
Hold on, a pinch of salt in the grounds at a diner in Tulsa? That is wild to me. I always heard you salt the water for pasta, not your coffee, so this is a new one. The part that gets me is the two regulars swearing it kills the bitterness, because if that actually works, why is nobody doing it at home? My gut says the guy next to you might be onto something though, salt can hide a lot of bad flavors. Just seems like a weird fix for a cup of coffee either way.
