Picked the associate's program over the bachelor's and my first check says it worked
Two years ago I had to choose between a 4 year school two hours away and a 2 year drafting program at the community college in town. I went with the associate's because it was $8,400 total instead of a mountain of loans, and I finished last spring. Last week I signed my first job offer as a CAD tech at a firm in Springfield, and the manager told me in the interview that the hands-on classes were the reason they picked me over two other applicants. So far the only thing the 4 year route would have gotten me is debt. Did any of you skip the bachelor's and go back for it later, or just stay with the two year?
