A kid at the comic shop made me rethink all my pulls...

This 14-year-old was talking about how he only buys trades because floppies are just 'ads for the collected edition' and honestly I couldn't argue with him. Been spending $50 a month on single issues for years and they just sit in boxes... has anyone else switched to waiting for trades?

That kid's got a point and it stings a little... I had a whole longbox full of 90s X-Men books and then realized I could've just bought the omnibus for less than half what I spent. Pulled the trigger on trades for Invincible last year and it felt wrong at first but now I see the light. The floppy habit is real hard to break though, standing there on Wednesday with a stack feels like a ritual or something.

My pull list is just a subscription to my local landfill at this point.

Started doing the same thing around issue 500 of my Amazing Spider-Man run. Monthly comics turn into clutter fast when you realize you haven't reread a single one in two years. Switched to trade paperbacks and my apartment actually has space for furniture now.
