Friend told me to skip buying the omnibus and wait for the trade paperback. 6 months later.

My buddy Mark said the Absolute Batman: Hush omnibus was gonna get a cheaper paperback release in like a year. I was impatient and bought the hardcover for $125 back in March. Now I see the trade is out and it's $35. I feel like a sucker but I also got to read it 6 months ago. So which side are you on, grab the big book now or wait it out and save the cash?

You're out of your mind if you think paying $90 extra just to read a comic six months earlier is a smart move. In my experience, that kind of patience pays off in a big way, especially when we're talking about something like Batman: Hush that's not going anywhere. Mark gave you solid advice and you ignored it, now you're sitting on a heavy book that takes up shelf space and cost you triple what the same story goes for today. Your mileage may vary, but I'd rather have the $90 in my pocket and the trade on my coffee table than feel like I got played by my own impatience.

Wait are people really losing sleep over this? It's a comic book. You read it six months ago, you paid extra to do that, end of story. I don't get all the hand wringing like you made some huge life mistake. If waiting saves you 90 bucks and you're fine with being behind then great. But this whole "I feel like a sucker" thing is a little much. You got what you paid for. Just enjoy the book and move on.

Wait, didn't you say the same thing about the Absolute editions a few years back?
