Hot take: I chose a digital subscription over my local comic shop and I feel awful about it

My local shop, Heroes Haven in Springfield, offered to pull the new X-Men #1 for me, but the Marvel Unlimited app was half the price. I went digital to save money, but now I miss the smell of the paper and chatting with the owner, Dave. Has anyone else had to make this kind of choice and how do you deal with the guilt?

Dave probably misses your chats more than your money, honestly.

Yeah, I had a client like that too. Just reaching out to check in, like diana_kim66 said, really helped fix things.

Totally get that. I switched to digital for the Walking Dead compendiums and still feel bad about it. My old shop had this awesome community board where people traded stuff, and I miss that vibe. Saving money is smart, but man, it just isn't the same experience.
