I finally decided between buying single issues or trades

After collecting for about 8 years, I had to pick one path because my apartment just can't hold both. Single issues feel special but they pile up fast and finding bags and boards gets old. Trades look clean on a shelf and you can read a whole story arc in one sitting without hunting for missing issues. I went with trades for my Marvel run because I got sick of missing issue 3 of every event and paying triple on eBay. My X-Men collection looks way better now but I do miss that Wednesday morning pull list feeling. Has anyone else switched and regretted it or did it work out for you?

Trades are the way to go for space and sanity, missing issues is the worst.

Did the same thing with a 12 issue run from 2018, thought I'd grab the singles later and now I'm staring at fifty dollar price tags for beat up copies. Ended up just buying the trade for twenty five bucks and felt like an idiot for not doing it from the start. That "I'll get it next time" mindset is a trap we've all fallen into.

Right? Nothing worse than hunting for issue 3 of a 4 part arc six months later for way too much money. Trade waiting is the cheat code.
