My comic collection hit 500 single issues and I didn't even notice
I was sorting some new books into my long boxes last weekend and decided to do a rough count. I hit 500 single issues, not counting trades or graphic novels. It snuck up on me because I started collecting as a kid in the 90s, grabbing cheap back issues from a shop in Akron. Back then, hitting 100 felt huge. Now, it's just a quiet number in my closet that represents a lot of years and a lot of stories. Anyone else have a collection milestone that made you stop and think?

My milestone was realizing my comic boxes are the only thing holding up that side of the room.

500 single issues is wild. My collection milestone was realizing I own more comic boxes than actual furniture.

I read that comic collecting is like a time capsule, and 500 issues sounds like a big one for sure.

What's the oldest single issue you still have from those Akron days, and does @susansingh's box-to-furniture ratio feel too real?
